Job summary

Mackay Regional Council is seeking two Civil Maintenance Worker-Labourers to join the Water Network team in Mackay. You will repair pressure mains, water services, valves and meters, and operate trucks and equipment. A permanent full-time role with a 9‑day fortnight roster provides excellent work‑life balance.

Civil Maintenance Worker

Mackay Regional Council has an opportunity for two experienced Civil Maintenance Worker-Labourers to join our Water Network team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the maintenance of our water network assets in the beautiful region of Mackay.

About This Opportunity

We are seeking a person that can assist with the repairs of pressure mains, water services, valves, and water meters. Be competent in truck driving, operating equipment such as whacker packer, flex drive pumps and vac loading and have the ability to use technological devices e.g. smart phones, computers and have knowledge of work order systems.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Current General Construction Safety "White" Card


• Current QLD MR or HR Class Licence


• Experience in driving tandem axle trucks in varying road condition


• Experience in maintaining water services and pipe infrastructure
