Job summary

Ventia is hiring two experienced Civil Labourers in Queensland to join the Open Roads Maintenance Team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role covers road and tunnel networks with day and night shifts on a rotating roster, including overtime.

You will perform maintenance, repairs, drainage, landscaping, inspection of civil structures and support projects while upholding safety and quality standards in live traffic.

Qualifications

• Civil maintenance background with experience on roads/tunnels.
• Strong focus on health, safety and quality in demanding environments.
• Current MR Driver’s Licence is essential.
• Current Construction White Card.
• Basic understanding of Asset Management/Life Cycle Modelling.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a reactive operational setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned, routine and reactive civil maintenance across roads and tunnels.
• Perform general civil repairs, drainage, landscaping, vegetation and grounds maintenance.
• Inspect and maintain civil structures and infrastructure, identifying defects and risks.
• Undertake painting, cleaning and pressure-washing activities.
• Support project, incident response works and emergency services when required.
• Work safely in live traffic environments and report incidents, risks and defects.
