Job summary

Surf Coast Shire Council in Victoria invites applications for a Civil Maintenance Officer to join the Civil Operations Team. You will support maintenance of roads, drainage, and related assets across coastal and hinterland areas, including unsealed road grading and road-roller operations.

The role requires a current MR or higher driver’s licence, several years in civil works, and a Working With Children Check, with Australia working rights and suitable police checks.

Qualifications

• Read basic construction plans and follow procedures.
• Familiarity with WH&S systems and safe operating practices.
• Experience in civil works and operating relevant plant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sealed and unsealed roads, footpaths, drainage systems.
• Work with unsealed road grading team and operate a multi-tyre road roller.
• Perform maintenance tasks across coastal and hinterland areas.
