Job summary

Port Stephens Council in Raymond Terrace is seeking energetic Labourers to support civil projects across the Port Stephens area. This permanent full-time role involves concrete maintenance, construction and asphalt tasks under supervision.

Starting from Raymond Terrace or Nelson Bay Depot, you’ll perform manual labour, operate small plant, and join toolbox discussions. Eligible candidates can access flexible work arrangements and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Appropriate literacy and numeracy to read worksite docs.
• Solid civil labouring skills and physical capability.
• Workcover General Construction Induction accreditation or ability to obtain before start.
• LR driver's license and Roads & Traffic Authority Controller Certificate after commencement if not held

Responsibilities

• Perform manual handling tasks on civil projects.
• Assist with construction, maintenance and asphalt duties.
• Participate in toolbox talks and follow site safety rules.
• Operate small plant items (whipper snippers, compactors, mowers) where required.
