Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking an experienced Works Engineer to deliver vital infrastructure and services across the Merriwa area. You will plan, manage and deliver construction and maintenance programs, coordinating roads, bridges, drainage, parks and facilities with contractors while ensuring safety and budget adherence.

You will work closely with Transport for NSW, support RMCC compliance, and contribute to grant funding submissions and capital works planning.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil or related discipline).
• Demonstrated experience implementing and promoting Work Health and Safety requirements.
• Experience coordinating minor works, capital projects and maintenance activities/schedules.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing contractors and day labour teams to effectively deliver works and services.

Responsabilités

• Oversee construction and maintenance across roads, bridges, footpaths, drainage, parks and facilities.
• Coordinate resources and contractors; ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.
• Support compliance with RMCC and collaborate with Transport for NSW and grant submissions.
• Contribute to capital works programs and strategic infrastructure planning.
