Job summary

Damcon Pty Ltd in NSW seeks an experienced Estimator for civil/bridge infrastructure and road projects. Based in Gregory Hills, join a fast-growing team handling high-profile work.

You will compile first-principle estimates, perform quantity take-offs, manage subcontractor scopes, and run tender analyses with Excel and Cubit Estimating. FRP experience and Australian market knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar.
• Minimum 2 years civil estimating experience in the Australian market.
• Experience in cost planning and tendering construction projects.
• Familiarity with Australian delivery models and contracts.
• FRP experience is essential for this role.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Compile and prepare first principle estimating, resource-based cost estimates with fully resourced program using company-supported estimating software.
• Provide data-base management services and reporting.
• Analysis and review of tender requirements.
• Development of program of work in consultation with the delivery team.
• Perform quantity take-off from construction drawings and other defined documents.
• Managing the review process to ensure award of subcontracts within required timeframe and budget.
• Prepare scope of works for tender packages to accompany request for quotations issued to subcontractors.
• Liaise and manage consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors during tender, post-tender, and construction.
• Commercial and technical risk assessment analysis.
