Job summary

Alder Group on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to lead detailed estimates for civil infrastructure projects across Queensland and Northern NSW. You will rely on first principles, quotations, and rates to arrive at construction costs and you will liaise with clients and internal teams to drive winning tenders.

You will collaborate with suppliers, assist with estimating systems, and support business development and post-tender discussions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Estimate and prepare detailed civil estimates using quotations and rates.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to support tender outcomes.
• Assist with development/streamlining of estimating systems and rate libraries.
• Collaborate with Business Development to identify opportunities.
• Work with key suppliers to maintain relationships and supply chain.
• Liaise with clients and client representatives in target markets.
• Promote the business to create opportunities and prepare tenders.
• Conduct tender meetings with Estimating Manager and team.
• Assist post-tender discussions, clarifications and meetings.
• Measure works to verify quantities and apply rates to final costs.

As our Civil & Infrastructure division continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Civil Estimator to join our team on the Gold Coast. This rare opportunity has opened due to major project wins, internal promotions and a rapidly expanding tender pipeline.

If you're ready to take the lead on high-impact civil infrastructure tenders across some of the most scenic regions in Southeast Queensland and the Northern Rivers, this role offers the perfect blend of challenge, stability and career progression

About The Role

• Undertake detailed estimates using a combination of quotations and rates derived from first principals.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders
• Assist with the development/streamlining of current estimating system, resource and rate library's
• Work closely with the Business Development Team ensuring continued growth, and identification of new opportunities
• Collaborate with key suppliers to maintain high quality relationships and a strong supply chain

Regularly liaise with Clients and Clients Representatives in the target markets.

• Promote the business in a positive manner to create opportunities
• Estimate and prepare the tender or budget estimate
• Conduct meetings in early stages of the Tender period with the Estimating Manager and other team members

Assist the Project Team with post tender discussions, clarifications and meetings.

• Measurement of works to verify quantities
• Compiling and applying rates to arrive at final construction costs

About You - Skills And Experience

• You will have a commitment to quality and professionalism in all tasks performed
• Proficient with the use of 'Expert Estimation' (or similar equivilant)
• At least 3+ years and a proven track record in a similar role
• Good time management & Good Communication skills
• Self-motivation and able to work independently and in team environment
