Job summary

Bright Balustrading Pty Ltd is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to support ongoing construction and maintenance projects in the Sydney Metropolitan Area. The role offers an annual salary of AUD 90,000–110,000 plus 12% Super and expects at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Travel to multiple sites may be required, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance. The candidate should hold a tertiary Civil Engineering qualification and demonstrate solid construction industry knowledge,

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience in a relevant role.
Minimum 7 years of work experience in similar role.
Sound discipline and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing project proposals, quote and documentation.
Estimating the material, labour and other resources costs.
Preparing sketches, charts, tabulations, plans and designs for construction works.
Evaluating and validating construction materials’ test reports.
Organizing and supervising work activities.
Interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment.
Collecting and analysing data, and carrying out computations.
Examining construction project sites and arranging installation, maintenance and repair work and ensuring they are within specifications.
Assessing actual material costs against the tender cost during the project construction phase.
