Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Perth team on civil infrastructure projects across road and rail sectors. You will contribute to the planning, design and delivery of complex transport solutions, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and roughly four to eight years’ experience, with proficiency in OpenRoads, 12d Model, Civil 3D and related software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Approximately four to eight years’ experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience in bulk earthworks, site grading, surface water management, and earth structures.
• Working knowledge of civil design tools: OpenRoads, 12d Model, Civil 3D, DRAINS, CivilStorm, or CulvertMaster.
• Familiarity with road authority standards.

Responsibilities

• Undertake civil engineering design activities for transport infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, datasheets, and design reports.
• Develop material take-offs and bills of quantities.
• Participate in and contribute to internal and external design reviews.
• Review and check engineering drawings, working closely with civil designers and drafters to ensure standards are met.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery and client outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant authority, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Commit to quality assurance, safety, and the reliable delivery of projects.
