Job summary

New Horizon Construction in Epping, VIC 3076, is seeking a Full-time Civil Engineer to join our growing civil construction team. The role focuses on reviewing drawings, planning activities, and supervising site work to ensure compliance with design standards.

You will manage design changes, estimate costs, and coordinate materials while maintaining tender documentation and client communication. A degree in civil engineering and at least two years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects.
• Strong attention to detail, leadership and site supervision capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and drawings to determine construction methods, materials, costs and standards.
• Managing the design changes and variations.
• Planning, scheduling and executing construction activities.
• Reviews engineering drawings to estimate project costs and prepare budgets.
• Coordinate the supply of materials and equipment and plan daily construction activities.
• Organize and maintain tender documents and supervise site workers.
• Resolve design and development issues throughout the project schedule.
• Assess sustainability and environmental impact, and communicate with clients.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specs.
• Design civil infrastructure including roads and drainage systems; perform structural design for buildings.
