Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training to join our Canada practice in Yellowknife or Whitehorse. You’ll contribute to civil design using AutoCAD Civil3D, support field inspections, and collaborate with multi‑discipline teams on northern infrastructure projects.

Expect a hybrid work environment with in-office presence as project needs dictate. Ideal candidates have a 1–2 year civil engineering background, EIT eligibility, and a valid driver’s license, with growth into project leadership.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1–2 years civil engineering experience preferred.
• Registered as an EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and basic surveying.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with construction reviews is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• With guidance, perform civil engineering design using AutoCAD Civil 3D for water/sewer, roadways, and site developments.
• Conduct significant field work and construction administration, with up to 90% fieldwork during peak seasons.
• Coordinate with other disciplines under a project coordinator or manager.
• Perform calculations to analyze and design civil system components.
• Assist on projects of varying complexity and size.
• Assist in data collection to support design decisions.
• Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
