Job summary

Northrop Consulting Engineers in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead project teams and own the technical delivery across built form, road infrastructure, and public domain works. You will be client-facing, steer projects from concept through to construction with autonomy, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the growth of the civil section.

Qualifications

• Ideally 3-5 Years of post-graduate experience working as a civil engineering consultant on built form projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognised university or institute.
• Experience preparing detailed design and documentation of roads, intersections, pavements, earthworks and stormwater drainage.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time, whilst working autonomously.
• Sound understanding of civil design software such as 12D Model and/or Civil 3D.
• Competent and independent use of other civil modelling software such as DRAINS, MUSIC and AutoCAD.

Job description

You’re an experienced civil engineer looking to take the next step in your career. You will lead project teams, taking ownership of the technical delivery of civil projects across built form, road infrastructure, high-density precinct development, and public domain works.

This role is based at our Melbourne office.

What You’ll Own

As a Civil Engineer, you will be joining a professional and collaborative team of engineers, designers, drafters, graduates and undergraduates, working on a diverse range of projects across the built environment. With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects for both new and existing clients, you will lead projects while being supported by a close-knit management team. You will be client-facing, with the autonomy of leading projects from concept through to construction and technical delivery, while having the support you need to succeed. You will act as a mentor to emerging engineers contributing to their technical development and continued growth of the civil section.

You will be part of a growing office with a great culture, including regular team catch-ups, office events and social activities.

What You Bring

Essential
