Job summary

Northrop Coffs Harbour is seeking a civil drafter with 1-2+ years of experience to join our Coffs Harbour team. You will work on urban renewal, development and municipal infrastructure projects, including earthworks, stormwater, sewer, water, pavements and road design, alongside an experienced group.

You’ll be based at our Coffs Harbour office and contribute to hands-on, client-focused delivery across regional projects, with local collaboration and ongoing mentoring.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’+ experience as civil drafter.
• Experience with AutoCAD is essential.
• Civ 3D and 12D experience is desirable.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, clients and external consultants.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Strong team ethic and a collaborative approach to working across projects and functional groups.

If you’ve built a solid foundation in civil drafting and are ready to take the next step in your career, this could be the opportunity for you. With 1–2+ years’ experience, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills while working alongside an experienced team on a range of technically challenging projects across urban renewal, development and municipal infrastructure, including earthworks, stormwater, sewer, water, pavements and road design.

This role is based at our Coffs Harbour office.

What You Bring

• 1-2 years’+ experience as a civil drafter.
• Essential to have experience with AutoCAD, civil engineering experience desirable.
• Civ 3D + 12D experience is desirable, with on-the-job training available to the right candidate who is interested in developing their skills and gaining experience in these programs.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, clients and external consultants.
• A proactive approach to problem‑solving, with a willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
