Job summary

Forward Engineering Consultants is a Melbourne-based structural and civil consultancy delivering residential, commercial and industrial projects. We're growing our civil team and looking for an experienced drainage designer who will run their own projects from concept through to completion.

The role focuses on preparing drainage plans and calculations, using Civil 3D or AutoCAD, and coordinating with clients, builders, and authorities to deliver designs that meet Victorian standards and

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• 4+ years' experience in civil drainage design in Victoria
• Proficient in Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD
• Progress towards CPEng, NER or RPEV registration
• Working knowledge of Victorian council requirements, Melbourne Water and relevant standards

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil drainage plans: stormwater layouts, pits and pipe networks, and on-site detention
• Produce drainage computations and supporting documentation as required

• Liaise with clients, builders, architects, drafters, councils and water authorities

Liaise directly with clients, builders, architects, drafters, councils and water authorities

Manage your own project workload from brief through to approval and construction support

About you

Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

4+ years' experience in civil drainage design in Victoria

Proficient in Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD

Proven experience preparing drainage plans and calculations

Confident dealing with clients, stakeholders and local authorities

Working knowledge of Victorian council requirements, Melbourne Water and relevant standards.

Progress towards CPEng, NER or RPEV registration

Experience across both residential and commercial/industrial sites
