Job summary

WSP in Queensland, Australia, is seeking a Civil Drafter to contribute to a range of civil and infrastructure projects from the Sunshine Coast. The role supports the Bridges, Aviation and Roads team and offers hybrid work with both full- and part-time options.

You will prepare and check drawings, liaise with designers and engineers, and manage project outputs while mentoring teammates and engaging with Digital Engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree of Civil Engineering qualification, or similar.
• Up to 4 years of experience as a Civil Drafter (technician).
• TMR Roads and Highways experience.
• Proficient operator of AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of ProjectWise is preferable.
• Excellent communication skills - including written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and issue drawings for complex engineering projects.
• Check drawing sets for complex engineering projects.
• Liaise with designers and project team engineers to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
• Plan and manage own work and others to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Mentor individuals within drafting team.
• Actively participate in knowledge sharing and learning opportunities including a focus on emerging technologies and Digital Engineering.
• Assist in the development of new and existing engineering software, tools and best practice procedures.
