Job summary

Systra in Melbourne is seeking a skilled rail drafting professional to develop 2D drawings and 3D models across rail, civil, and earthworks projects.

You will produce construction-ready documents, maintain data in cloud systems and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design clashes. Experience with Australian rail standards and 2D AutoCAD is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in rail infrastructure drafting within heavy rail, light rail, metro, or transport environments.
• Strong understanding of rail geometry, civil design principles, earthworks and drainage.
• Experience applying Australian rail industry standards and specifications.

You’ll be involved in:

What we’re looking for

We are looking for people who enjoy being part of an National Team, with proven rail infrastructure experience and a strong understanding of rail engineering principles, standards and project delivery.

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Demonstrated experience in rail infrastructure drafting within heavy rail, light rail, metro, or transport environments.
• Strong understanding of rail geometry, civil design principles, earthworks, drainage, and corridor infrastructure.
• Experience applying Australian rail industry standards and specifications.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Extensive 2D AutoCAD experience. Other rail design and digital engineering platforms are welcomed.
