Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking an experienced rail design draftsman in Melbourne to contribute to a growing pipeline of rail projects across Australia. The role focuses on producing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for rail, civil, earthworks, drainage, and corridor projects.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design reviews run smoothly and clashes are resolved. Experience with Australian rail standards and strong AutoCAD proficiency are essential, with additional familiarity in

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in rail infrastructure drafting within heavy rail, light rail, metro, or transport environments.
• Strong understanding of rail geometry and civil design principles including earthworks and drainage.
• Experience applying Australian rail industry standards and specifications.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Extensive 2D AutoCAD experience; familiarity with other rail design/digital engineering platforms is a plus.

Missions/Main Duties

Profile/Skills

What we’re looking for

We are looking for people who enjoy being part of an National Team, with proven rail infrastructure experience and a strong understanding of rail engineering principles, standards and project delivery.

To be successful, you’ll have:
