Job summary

Aurecon Group in Adelaide, Australia, is looking for a Civil Designer to contribute to buildings civil defence projects and infrastructure throughout South Australia and beyond.

You will prepare civil models, drawings and documentation using AutoCAD, 12d or Civil 3D; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; participate in BIM coordination and QA activities; and help develop design solutions across project phases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in civil drafting, modelling or design in an engineering context.
• Experience delivering civil design documentation and models for buildings, land development or infrastructure.
• Exposure to multidisciplinary project environments and coordination with other design disciplines.
• BIM coordination experience is highly regarded.

Job description

What you’ll do

• Prepare civil models, drawings and design documentation using industry-standard software
• Support the delivery of a variety of projects with a focus on Buildings Civil Defence projects across South Australia and nationally
• Work within multidisciplinary project teams, collaborating with structural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and architectural disciplines
• Assist with the development and coordination of design solutions through all project phases
• Participate in BIM and model coordination activities
• Contribute to quality assurance and design review processes
• Assist with project delivery through accurate and timely documentation
• Continue developing your technical capability under the guidance of experienced senior designers and engineers

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years' experience in civil drafting, modelling or design within an engineering consultancy, contractor or infrastructure environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, 12d and/or Civil 3D
• Experience delivering civil design documentation and models across buildings, land development and/or infrastructure projects
• Exposure to multidisciplinary project environments and coordination with other design disciplines
• Experience working alongside BIM teams or participating in BIM coordination activities will be highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality technical documentation
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development
• The ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance
