Job summary

East Coast Civil Group in Morrisville, NC seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day field operations across multiple civil construction projects. You will lead foremen, superintendents, and crews, align schedules with budgets, and ensure safety, quality, and client satisfaction on every site.

You will partner with leadership, estimating, and project teams to plan resources and improve productivity, while maintaining strong subcontractor and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of operations or project management experience in civil construction or site development.
• Strong understanding of excavation, grading, utilities, paving, and related civil construction processes.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor field crews.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily operations across multiple construction projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Oversee project teams, including foremen, superintendents, and field staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
• Monitor project progress, identifying challenges and implementing solutions to maintain efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements on all job sites.
• Collaborate with leadership, estimating, and project management teams to support planning, resource allocation, and execution of projects.
• Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project operations and communication.
• Analyze operational processes and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
