Qualifications

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
• Current driver's licence.
• Willingness to obtain relevant construction site certifications such as White Card (Construction Induction).
• Strong work ethic and commitment to health and safety practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Previous construction or labouring experience (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to work outdoors in the Cairns climate.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople and supervisors with general labouring duties on civil construction sites.
• Prepare and maintain construction work areas, including site setup, cleanup and waste management.
• Assist with the handling, loading and unloading of materials, tools and equipment such as setting up auger for deep soil mixing, cleaning tools, gurneying, and filling holes.
• Follow all health and safety protocols and site-specific safety requirements.
