Job summary

SMGT, in collaboration with Mildura Rural City Council, offers a Civil Construction Apprentice role in Mildura. The position includes on‑the‑job training to achieve Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations) and aims to progress to a full‑time role upon completion of the traineeship.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in civil works and ability to follow direction.
• Must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to meet identified vacancy requirements.
• Preparedness to undertake training at trade school and on the job.

Responsibilities

• Undertake training on the job and at trade school to obtain Certificate III Civil Construction (Plant Operations).
• Provide quality construction and maintenance to roads, drainage, footpaths and related infrastructure.
• Willingness to shift work as required and to complete traineeship requirements.
