Job summary

Whitsunday Regional Council in Proserpine is seeking a Civil Construction Worker to perform labouring duties for roads and drainage, including vegetation control, drainage construction, and small plant operation. The role requires operating plant and trucks safely with supervision as needed.

• General Construction Safety Induction (White card)
• Traffic Control (or willingness to obtain)

• Agriculture Chemical Distribution and Control (or willingness to obtain)
• Provide First aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Operate plant and trucks in accordance with manufacturer requirements and Workplace Health and Safety legislation
• Work effectively and productively with limited supervision
• Carry out general labouring duties, including vegetation control, road maintenance and construction drainage activities, concrete works, and small plant operation
• Implement traffic management requirements (including traffic guidance schemes and traffic management plans)
