Job summary

PROTECH is seeking Civil All Round Operators for Darwin projects, across multiple sites. Open roles include Excavator (GPS), Loader, Roller, Dozer, Grader, and Water Cart operators with strong safety discipline.

Local candidates preferred; ongoing work with major civil contractors. 50–60 hour weeks available; meal and travel allowances apply. Join a team delivering bulk earthworks, road construction and subdivision works in Darwin.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating plant on civil construction projects.
• White Card and relevant plant tickets are required.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery safely and efficiently on Civil Construction projects.
• Bulk and detailed earthworks.
• Road construction and subdivision works.
• Pre start inspections and basic machine maintenance.
• Working closely with Supervisors and Civil Crews.
• Maintaining site safety and project standards.

Civil All Round Operator – Darwin Projects (Local Candidates Only)

Protech Darwin is currently seeking experienced CivilOperatorsfor immediate starts across multiple major projects throughout the Darwin region.
We are working with some of the Territory’s leading Civil Contractors and have opportunities available for experienced:

• Excavator Operators (GPS)
• Loader Operators
• Roller Operators
• Dozer Operators
• Grader Operators
• Water Cart Operators

These positions offer ongoing work, strong hourly rates, and the opportunity to be part of some of Darwin’s largest civil construction projects.

What’s On Offer

• LocalWork in Darwin – potentially FIFO
• Meal allowance: $19 per day
• Travel allowance: $22 per day
• 50-60 hour weeks available or 2/1
• Long term work with reputable Civil Contractors – some temp to perm options

Key Responsibilities

• Operating machinery safely and efficiently on Civil Construction projects
• Bulk and detailed earthworks
• Road construction and subdivision works
• Pre start inspections and basic machine maintenance
• Working closely with Supervisors and Civil Crews
• Maintaining site safety and project standards

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Proven experience operating plant on civil construction projects (minimum 5yrs experience)
• Relevant plant tickets
• Current White Card
• Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
• Strong commitment to safety
• Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol Screen
