Job summary

A leading civil contractor is looking for experienced Civil Labourers for ongoing work across Adelaide metro and regional South Australia. Your role will involve a variety of civil tasks, such as site preparation and pipe laying. Applicants must have relevant experience and a Construction White Card. Competitive pay and immediate starts are offered.

Overview

Civil Labourers – Adelaide Metro & Regional SA

We’re hiring experienced Civil Labourers to join leading contractors delivering major works across Adelaide metro and regional South Australia. If you’re reliable, safety-focused, and ready to work—this is your chance to secure consistent, well-paid work with top-tier crews.

What’s On Offer

• Immediate starts across multiple locations
• $36–$41.14/hr (based on experience)
• Penalties after 7.6 hrs + daily travel allowance
• Monday–Friday + Saturdays as required
• Ongoing work with respected civil companies
• Diverse projects including infrastructure, roadworks, and utilities

Your Role

Hands-on across a wide range of civil tasks:

• Site preparation, trenching, drainage, and backfilling
• Pipe laying: stormwater, sewer, CST, water mains
• Spotting for plant operators and machinery
• Operating hand tools, small plant, and machinery
• Reading and interpreting plans, setting out works
• Manual handling of materials (pipes, formwork, etc.)
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and productive worksite
• Working closely with trades and supervisors to meet project goals

What You’ll Bring

• Construction White Card
• Driver’s licence + reliable transport
• 3+ years recent civil experience
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
• Experience in pipe laying, trenching, and site support
• Relevant licences/RII tickets (e.g. Excavator, Backhoe, Skid Steer, HR)—highly regarded
• Cert III in Civil Construction – advantageous
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol testing
