Job summary

The NSW Electoral Commission is seeking an Education and Engagement Advisor to design education programs and materials that teach practical civics skills aligned with NSW voting rules and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on creating new content and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to improve public understanding of rights and obligations in democratic participation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated communication skills and experience in the provision of high-quality learning and communication materials.
• Experience working within Communications or Education with demonstrable capability dealing with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience across print, video, audio and digital platforms with high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience working within a highly regulated environment with dynamic and ongoing legislative changes.
• Experience juggling multiple projects with non-negotiable deadlines.
• No affiliations with political parties, candidates, elected members, third-party campaigners, donors or registered lobbyists that could undermine the political impartiality of the Electoral Commission or that are otherwise inconsistent with its Political Neutrality Policy.
