City of Ballarat is seeking a Civic Events Officer to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of civic events and Citizenship Ceremonies, ensuring high standards and compliance with policies. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and government partners to create professional, impactful occasions.

The ideal candidate has event management experience, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced public sector environment.

Competenze

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in event management or substantial experience in events coordination.
• Experience in government or politically sensitive environment is highly regarded.
• Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Mansioni

• Manage the planning, implementation, delivery and review of all civic recognition and civic events to a high standard.
• Coordinate and deliver official openings, launches, media opportunities and ribbon-cutting events with state and federal partners.
• Oversee end-to-end planning and delivery of Citizenship Ceremonies in line with the Australian Citizenship Ceremonies Code.
• Promote a professional image of the Civic Support team while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless, high-quality events.
