Job summary

Pillow Talk Mittagong is seeking a Christmas Casual Retail Sales Assistant to join our friendly team during the festive period. You’ll help customers with ideas for trees, decorations and home gifts, and you’ll learn our product range to create joyful shopping experiences.

We value personality, reliability and a can-do attitude. The role runs across weekends and busy periods until 24 January 2027, with an hourly rate and monthly incentives, plus a staff discount and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Personable with strong customer service mindset.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a busy retail environment.
• Great listening and problem-solving skills to help customers find home gift ideas.
• Available to work across all seven days, especially weekends during the Christmas period.

Responsibilities

• Unpack new Christmas decorations and summer stock.
• Assist customers in creating decorative looks across rooms for the Christmas season.
• Provide friendly, helpful service and support across busy periods.

We are now looking for additional team members across the country to help us bring the Christmas spirit alive. Anyone can offer you a job at Christmas, but we’ve got something else in mind - JOY!It's not about how much you know about linen, homewares, or bedding (we can teach you that!), it’s about you, and your unwavering passion to delight every customer you engage!

• You’re full of personality and confidence, and can quickly develop interpersonal connections with customers and colleagues
• You have the ability to multitask and cope with changing priorities and all the curveballs that retail can throw at you
• You have great availability for work across the seven days of the week, and most importantly our busy weekends
• Great listening skills and problem-solving skills to help our customers find the perfect home gift idea for their loved ones...(comfort really is the gift that keeps on giving!)
• This role will be a maximum-term contract and therefore, you must be available from now until 24th January 2027
