Job summary

The Bloomfield Group is seeking a CHPP Operator - Mechanical Trade for the Rix's Creek Mine, on a Monday to Friday night shift roster. You will apply coal processing and maintenance expertise to operate CHPP safely and efficiently, meeting safety and production targets.

The role requires a Mechanical Trade Qualification with CHPP operating experience, strong troubleshooting ability, and a NSW Driver's Licence. Prior cash-in-hand experience with open cut earthmoving equipment is beneficial.

Qualifications

• CHPP operating experience with coal processing environments.
• Trade qualification in mechanical trades (CHPP/plant).
• Experience with breakdown repairs and diagnostics.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence and ability to travel on site.

Responsibilities

• Operate the CHPP in a safe, efficient and productive manner.
• Collaborate with the team on safety, maintenance and production goals.
• Perform quality inspections of CHPP equipment and document as required.
• Deliver high standards of operation using processing expertise.
• Identify potential issues and undertake proactive maintenance.
• Provide breakdown repairs safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to maintenance of washery and coal handling infrastructure.

About the Role

Are you an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson with CHPP operational experience looking for your next opportunity? The Bloomfield Group invites you to join our team at Rix's Creek Mine in an exciting Mechanical Tradesperson role.

As a member of our team, your coal processing and maintenance expertise will be crucial in the safe and efficient operation of the CHPP, playing an integral role in achieving both safety and production targets.

Please note this role will work a Monday to Friday night shift roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the CHPP in a safe, efficient and productive manner
• Collaborate with the team on meeting safety, maintenance and production goals through efficient practices
• Perform quality inspections of CHPP equipment and areas, documenting as per legislative and operational requirements
• Utilise your processing expertise to deliver a high standard of operation, contributing to the smooth functioning of the CHPP
• Utilise your trade /operating skills to proactively identify potential issues
• Safely and efficiently provide breakdown repairs
• Provide quality trade-based maintenance in the washery and on associated coal handling infrastructure
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
• Mechanical (Plant Mechanic/Fitter) Trade Qualification
• CHPP operating experience
• Sound knowledge of coal processing
• Knowledge of relevant standards and statutory requirements
• Experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with fellow team members
• Current NSW Driver's Licence
• Experience maintaining open cut earth moving equipment
• Relevant work cover tickets C6, EWP, forklift, confined space
