Job summary

Foxleigh Mine in Middlemount is seeking experienced CHPP Operator/Maintainers to help shape the future of our processing operations. You will operate and monitor the CHPP to meet production targets and ensure reliable plant performance.

The role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and collaboration within a close-knit team. A strong safety mindset and fixed plant experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Desirable: Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licence (QLD).
• Desirable: HV Switching competency.
• RIIPRO301D – Conduct crushing and screening plant operations.
• RIIPRO302D – Perform processing control room operations.
• RIISAM208D – Perform plant operational maintenance.
• RIIWBP203D – Treat and dispose of rejects and tailings.
• RIIMCP301D – Monitor coal preparation plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CHPP to deliver PCI coal in line with production targets.
• Carry out inspections, preventive maintenance, and attend minor breakdowns.
• Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work environment across CHPP, Train Loadout and Yard.
• Drive site improvements to enhance safety, performance and efficiency.
• Adhere to site safety, health and environmental standards.

Job description

Foxleigh Mine is located 15km south of Middlemount and approx. 275km northwest of Rockhampton. The mine is in its 25th year of operation producing premium PCI metallurgical coal for use in steel manufacturing. About the Role

We’re looking for experienced and motivated CHPP Operator/Maintainers (Mechanical, Electrical or Non-Trade) to help us shape the future of our processing operations. This is more than just a role - it’s a chance to help set the standard for reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate and monitor Foxleigh’s CHPP to deliver consistent, high-quality PCI coal in line with production targets.
• Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance, and attend to minor breakdowns, using your skills and experience to be resourceful and keep the plant running reliably.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment across the CHPP, Train Loadout, and Yard, showing care and respect for your teammates, equipment, and the environment.
• Work closely with a tight-knit team to drive practical, site-specific improvements that enhance safety, performance, and efficiency.
• Adhere to site safety, health, and environmental standards.
