Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or completed a childcare, early childhood education or related qualification (Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent, preferred)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with children, families and colleagues
• A collaborative and supportive approach to working within a team environment
• Physical fitness and ability to engage in active play with children
• Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one) is essential
• Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude towards work

Responsibilities

• Supporting qualified educators in providing high-quality care, supervision and educational activities for children of various age groups
• Assisting with the planning, preparation and implementation of age-appropriate learning activities and play-based experiences
• Supporting children with daily routines including meal times, rest times and personal hygiene practices
• Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for children and families
• Observing and documenting children's development and learning in accordance with centre policies
• Communicating effectively with parents and caregivers about children's experiences and wellbeing
• Supporting the implementation of the centre's duty of care, health, safety and wellbeing policies
• Contributing positively to the childcare team and supporting the centre's culture and values

What we're looking for

Genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their safety, wellbeing and development
