Randstad is seeking cooks for childcare roles across Adelaide and surrounding suburbs. You will prepare meals for groups of children and adapt to site-specific dietary needs, with allergen awareness emphasized.

No weekend or late-night shifts are required. Casual work via our app allows scheduling flexibility, with opportunities to travel between locations. A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is highly desirable and a Working with Children Check may be required.

Qualificações

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Experience cooking in childcare, aged care or hospitals is well regarded.
• Allergen awareness and ability to meet dietary needs.
• Willingness to travel between locations and work flexible shifts.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare up to 3 meals per day for a large group of children.
• May contribute to menu planning and nutrition guidance.
• Work independently at multiple sites via app-based scheduling.

You will need to be confident in working alone and preparing up to 3 meals per day for a large number of children. In addition to cooking, your knowledge may be required in aspects of menu planning and nutrition guidance.

About you:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (highly desirable)
• Experience cooking in childcare, aged care or hospitals will be well regarded
• Allergen aware as well as commitment to meet dietary, cultural and nutritional needs of children
• Available a minimum of 2 shifts per week
• Willingness to travel to different locations around your area
• Australian work rights and a willingness to gain your state based Working with Children Card
• Possession of a First Aid certificate is highly regarded by some of our clients
• Committed to Child Safeguarding and understanding of Mandatory Reporting responsibilities
• Able to provide contact details of two professional referees who have managed you and can speak to your work
• Willingness to undertake National Child Safety training
