Job summary

Randstad is hiring Cook roles across Sydney suburbs for childcare environments. You will prepare up to 3 meals per day for a large group of children, and may assist with menu planning and nutrition guidance. You can choose shifts and manage your schedule via our app, with no weekend work or late night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking in childcare, aged care or hospitals.
• Safe Food Handling Certificate.
• Allergen aware and able to meet dietary, cultural, and nutritional needs of children.
• Willingness to travel to different locations around your area.
• Australian work rights and willingness to gain Working with Children clearance.
• First Aid certification is highly regarded by some clients.
• Committed to Child Safeguarding and Mandatory Reporting responsibilities.
• Willingness to complete mandatory national Child Safety training.
• Provide contact details of two professional referees who can speak to your work.

Responsibilities

• Cook meals for children, up to 3 per day for a large number of children.
• Contribute to menu planning and nutrition guidance where required.
• Manage shifts and work within the schedule via the Randstad app.

About you:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (highly desirable)
• Experience cooking in childcare, aged care or hospitals
• Safe Food Handling Certificate
• Allergen aware as well as commitment to meet dietary, cultural and nutritional needs of children
• Available a minimum of 2 shifts per week
• Willingness to travel to different locations around your area
• Australian work rights and a willingness to gain your state based Working with Children Card
• Possession of a First Aid certificate is highly regarded by some of our clients
• Committed to Child Safeguarding and understanding of Mandatory Reporting responsibilities
• Willingness to complete mandatory national Child Safety training
• Able to provide contact details of two professional referees who have managed you and can speak to your work
