Job summary
The NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking experienced child protection Caseworkers for statewide positions in NSW. The role involves assessing the safety and risk to children and young people within a multi-disciplinary framework. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of frontline experience in statutory child protection, excellent communication skills, and a degree in Social Work or similar. Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ frontline experience in statutory child protection services.
A valid driver’s licence (P1 or above).
A paid working with children clearance number.
Responsibilities
Undertake assessments to identify safety and risk concerns.
Engage in collaborative, child-focused practice.
Source timely and accurate information for evidence-based decisions.
Model ethical casework responsive to changing needs.
Build relationships within the Program and legislative frameworks.
Develop and maintain networks with partner agencies.
Participate in continuous learning and professional development.
Maintain accurate client records for reporting.
Initiate action in the Children’s Court as required.
