Job summary

The Family Centre in Murwillumbah, NSW is seeking a Child, Family and Relationship Worker to deliver services across our Child, Family and Relationship program. You will support parenting skills, relationships, safety and wellbeing for children, youth and families, using a strengths-based, solution-focused framework.

Requirements include a tertiary qualification in social work or related discipline, experience with vulnerable families, and a current Working with Children check.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in social work or related discipline and experience in a similar position.
• Experience with vulnerable families using a strengths-based, solution-focused framework.
• Understanding of poverty, substance misuse, child safety, development, mental health, domestic/family violence and homelessness.
• Proven case management and coordination with families and stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver parenting skills and relationship education programs.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication; proficient with MS Office and CRM systems.
• Current driver’s license and comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Criminal record check and Working with Children check (within 12 months).

• Works with vulnerable families using a strengths-based, solution-focused approach.
• Coordinates with other stakeholders; capable of working independently and as part of a team.
