Job summary

BrightPath Kids Mansfield is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support teachers and families, providing a home away from home for children in our care, following NAEYC guidelines.

You will help keep children safe aged 6 weeks to 12 years, assist with instruction, decorate spaces, maintain a warm, clean environment, engage children in activities, and communicate with parents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours and meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years.
• Assist teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorate inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm, clean environment that supports growth and exploration.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities

As a Teacher Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorating inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
