Job summary

Randstad Digital is seeking a Melbourne-based Head of IT Architecture and Cybersecurity to relocate to Cairns. This senior role leads the IT architecture and cybersecurity strategy for a regional aviation hub, shaping reference architectures, roadmaps, and ARB governance across public and private clouds.

You will drive cyber maturity programs, manage incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance (NIST, ISO 27001, Essential 8, SOCI). Leadership and cross-team collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT architecture and cybersecurity.
• 3+ years in leadership.
• Experience in critical infrastructure or aviation environments.
• TOGAF or equivalent certification.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, Essential 8, and SOCI.
• Vendor oversight and regulatory compliance.
• Experience defining multi-year cloud strategies and roadmaps.
• Domain leadership across IT architectures and risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the Architecture Review Board (ARB) with enterprise-wide engagement.
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with capital investment teams on technology investments.
• Drive the overarching architecture strategy, including a 2-year cloud plan.
• Define long-term IT roadmap and technology investment strategy.
• Advise leadership on roadmaps, security investments and risk mitigation.
• Guide IT domains across business units and risk controls.
• Implement cybersecurity frameworks (Essential 8, NIST, ISO 27001, SOCI).
• Oversee daily security operations across cloud environments.
