SEEK is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer to steer the cybersecurity strategy, governance, and risk management across our enterprise. Reporting to the CIO, you will lead a high-performing security team and mature our cyber maturity while enabling business growth.

This role supports a hybrid work arrangement with offices across Australia and a focus on resilience, incident response, AI risk, and vendor management.

Qualifications

Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Reporting to our Chief Information Officer, the CISO is responsible for the strategic direction to increase our cyber maturity and for developing and implementing cybersecurity strategy, policies, and procedures.

This role has direct accountability for security strategy, governance, management, risks,recovery, awareness, training and leadership.

With multiple offices around Australia, candidates open to a hybrid work arrangement will be considered.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in a CISO or 2IC level role.


• Proven experience having led enterprise-scale transformational initiatives across a group


• Proven experience uplifting cybersecurity maturity at an enterprise level


• Strong focus on enterprise cyber risk management—evaluating and mitigating security risks across all areas of the business (including emerging risks related to AI and supply chain).


• Strong technical experience with Cybersecurity and related technologies (including Best Practices)


• Experience in the execution of corporate strategies with a strong risk management mindset


• Proven ability to drive cyber resilience and business recovery strategies alongside standard threat defence.


• Demonstrated strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations - including Incident Response & Management


• Exceptional Stakeholder & Vendor Management skills - including reporting and presenting to Senior Executives and Stakeholders


• Accredited tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or similar


• Strong understanding of all guidelines, standards and legislation influencing IT Security and Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery
