Job summary

NSW Treasury seeks a Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic financial leadership for Treasury and 21 reportable entities. You will oversee complex Crown and Treasury activities, transform processes through digitisation, and strengthen governance and controls to support confident decision-making.

You will lead a high-performing finance team, advise senior leadership and boards, and shape the next phase of financial reform across government.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience across complex financial management disciplines (finance control, reporting, budgeting, governance).
• Ability to provide clear, influential advice to senior executives and ministers.
• Experience leading large teams through change with strong control environment.

Responsibilities

• Set financial strategy, policy and reporting frameworks for Treasury and entities.
• Provide timely, authoritative advice to senior leaders and ministers on financial matters.
• Lead statutory and management reporting, audit, and budget analysis.
