Job summary

EPEC Group is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to partner with the Board and CEO to steer capital, investment planning and growth across a rapidly expanding portfolio of renewables and related services. The role oversees Finance, Legal, Risk, IT, data and enterprise systems, ensuring governance and robust controls.

You will lead the acquisition agenda, drive strategic partnerships and scale processes to maintain margin and confidence as the business grows in Queensland and beyond.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience including executive finance leadership in a project-based business.
• Co-developed strategy with a CEO, COO or Board and led financial, capital and investment planning.
• Experience with corporate development and M&A from identification through to integration.
• Proven ability to scale processes and systems to support rapid growth.
• Trusted partner to the COO and Board through periods of significant growth.

EPEC Group is a rapidly growing Queensland success story. The role

Accountable to the Board and working day to day with EPEC's entrepreneurial owners and the Chief Operating Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will help set the direction of the business to deliver significant growth. The role leads financial, capital and investment planning, carries the acquisition and partnership agenda, sets the commercial governance that protects margin on major pursuits and leads the Finance, Legal, Risk and Compliance, IT, data and AI and Business Processes and Systems functions. This is a mandate to shape how a rapidly growing business is run, with the backing of the Board and the authority to act.

The person

You are a contemporary, strategically oriented finance executive, degree qualified with 15 or more years’ experience including executive finance leadership in a project based business. You have co-developed strategy with a CEO, COO or Board and led the financial, capital and investment planning to deliver it, you bring corporate development and M&A experience from identification through to integration and you have led enabling functions beyond finance. You bring proven experience scaling processes and systems to keep pace with ambitious growth, building the foundations that let a fast moving business grow with confidence and control. Above all, you have the judgement and commercial depth to be a trusted partner to the Chief Operating Officer and the Board through a period of significant growth.
