Job summary

Robinvale District Health Services (RDHS) seeks a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead a period of strategic growth in rural Victoria, guiding governance, financial stewardship and high-quality care across acute, aged care and community services.

Reporting to the Board, you will build leadership capability, foster partnerships with government, Aboriginal organisations and community partners, and champion person-centred, integrated healthcare for RDHS’s Robinvale, Manangatang and wider Mallee

Qualifications

• Demonstrated executive leadership in health, aged care or integrated community health services.
• Experience partnering effectively with Boards and Executive Teams.
• Strong governance, financial management and strategic planning capability.
• Proven experience implementing strategy and delivering sustainable organisational performance.
• Experience maintaining accreditation and regulatory compliance within a complex healthcare environment.
• Track record of building high-performing teams and developing leadership capability.

Chief Executive Officer | Robinvale District Health Services

Lead a respected integrated rural health service and make a lasting impact on the health and wellbeing of regional communities.

Robinvale District Health Services (RDHS) is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead one of Victoria’s respected integrated rural public health services through its next phase of strategic growth and organisational development.

Governed by an engaged Board, RDHS delivers acute and urgent care, residential aged care, primary and community health, allied health, early years and renal dialysis services across Robinvale, Manangatang and the broader Mallee region.

This is a significant opportunity to lead a financially sustainable organisation committed to delivering safe, high-quality and person-centred healthcare.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Board, the CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation, leading implementation of the Strategic Plan while ensuring strong governance, financial stewardship, accreditation and regulatory compliance.

Working in partnership with the Executive Team, you will strengthen organisational capability, develop leadership capacity, foster strategic partnerships and position RDHS to respond to the evolving needs of rural healthcare.

The Board is seeking a visible, authentic and values-driven leader who will become part of the Robinvale community and inspire confidence across the organisation, community and broader health sector.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated executive leadership within health, aged care or integrated community health services
• Experience partnering effectively with Boards and Executive Teams
• Strong governance, financial management and strategic planning capability
• Proven experience implementing strategy and delivering sustainable organisational performance
• Experience maintaining accreditation and regulatory compliance within a complex healthcare environment
• A track record of building high-performing teams, developing leadership capability and fostering a positive organisational culture
• Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across government, health services, Aboriginal organisations and community partners
• An understanding of rural and regional healthcare, contemporary aged care reform and integrated service delivery will be highly regarded

Remuneration: The successful candidate will be appointed in accordance with the Victorian Department of Health Health Executive Employment and Remuneration (HEER) Policy.
