Job summary

Indigo Shire Council in Beechworth, Victoria, seeks an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead this dynamic region into its next chapter. You will champion advocacy, build powerful government and industry relationships, and create a culture of innovation and outcomes across the organisation.

As the CEO, you will partner with Councillors to drive governance, strategic decision-making and delivery of priorities, while leading an executive team and driving financial sustainability and growth

Qualifications

• Demonstrated executive leadership experience in local government or a similarly complex organisation.
• Genuine understanding of regional and rural Councils, with Victorian/regional experience highly valued.
• Strong advocacy skills given IndigoShire's reliance on government funding.
• Sound financial, commercial and asset management expertise.
• Track record of building trust, driving change and fostering an innovative, high-performing culture.
• Energy, passion and community focus to lead Indigo Shire and its community.

The Role
