Job summary

RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join the resort leadership team. You will be the senior engineering authority, guiding all engineering and maintenance across buildings, grounds and plant, while driving safety, efficiency and guest-focused service.

This role combines hands-on leadership with asset management, capital works oversight and a strong focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ senior engineering or maintenance leadership experience.
• Experience in capital projects, budgets and asset lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of WHS, building compliance and contractor management.
• Experience with building and maintenance management systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Engineering & Maintenance team, fostering safety and continuous improvement.
• Oversee resort engineering and maintenance operations (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lifts, pools, water treatment, life safety).
• Lead preventative maintenance programs to improve reliability and asset life.
• Manage asset lifecycle planning and capital works projects from concept to commissioning.
• Oversee budgets and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead compliance, contractor management and emergency response; ensure WHS and safety standards.
• Champion energy and sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and costs.
• Collaborate across the resort to resolve issues and deliver guest experiences.
