Merivale in Sydney is seeking Commis Chefs, Demi Chefs and Chef de Parties to join two iconic venues, Mr Wong and Good Luck, on a full-time or casual basis. You will work with experienced teams to deliver high-quality dishes, focusing on flavour, technique, presentation and consistency in a fast-paced environment.

Experience across Asian cuisines and techniques is highly valued, with opportunities to develop skills and advance within Merivale's diverse portfolio.

Qualifications

• Have professional kitchen experience, ideally within a high-end restaurant.
• Have a genuine passion for Asian cuisine and cooking techniques.
• Have experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Bring experience with techniques such as wok cooking, roasting, grilling or steaming.
• Be adaptable and comfortable working across different menus and kitchen sections.

The Venues

We’re looking for passionate chefs to join two of Merivale’s Asian restaurants in Sydney: Mr Wong and Good Luck.

Mr Wong is known for its Cantonese classics and dim sum, while Good Luck brings its own approach to Asian cuisine. Across both venues, you’ll work with experienced culinary teams, develop your skills and help deliver food in busy restaurant kitchens.

Qualifications

The Role

We’re looking for Commis Chefs, Demi Chefs and Chef de Parties to join our teams on a full-time or casual basis.

You’ll work closely with senior chefs to deliver high-quality food with a strong focus on flavour, technique, consistency and presentation.

We’re particularly interested in chefs with experience across Asian cuisines and cooking techniques, whether that’s Cantonese, Chinese, Southeast Asian or broader Asian cuisine.
