ALH is hiring a Chef for Tandara Hotel. This hands-on role focuses on delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen and upholding safety and hygiene standards, keeping guest experience at the heart of every plate.

You will collaborate with kitchen colleagues to maintain ALH’s presentation and consistency, demonstrating passion, precision and productivity while supporting a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Hold trade cooking qualifications.
• Strong organisation and communication to support guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high quality dishes that WOW guests.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in line with the ALH policy.

A day in the life of a Chef:

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high quality dishes that “WOW” our guests
• Contribute positively to our culture which is centred around safety and hygiene, keeping the guest experience at the heart of everything you do
• Maintain a consistent standard of high quality and well presented dishes that align with the ALH standard

About you:

• You have great experience working in a fast paced kitchen and hold necessary trade cooking qualifications
• You understand that the recipe for an exceptional guest experience contains the perfect mix of passion, precision and productivity
• Strong organisation and communication skills to create the best possible outcomes for our guests and the team
• You’ll be yourself and come as you are - ALH is known for its people

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
