Job summary

ALH Hotels' Royal Hotel in Queensland is seeking a passionate Chef to join our kitchen team and craft memorable dining experiences for guests.

In a fast-paced pub kitchen, you’ll bring passion, precision and productivity to every plate, uphold ALH standards, and contribute to a safe, hygienic guest-focused environment.

This hands-on role involves lifting and stock movement; prior trade cooking qualifications and experience are essential for success.

• You have great experience working in a fast paced kitchen and hold necessary trade cooking qualifications.
• You understand that the recipe for an exceptional guest experience contains the perfect mix of passion, precision and productivity.
• Strong organisation and communication skills to create the best possible outcomes for our guests and the team.

A Day In The Life Of a Chef

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high quality dishes that “WOW” our guests
• Contribute positively to our culture which is centred around safety and hygiene, keeping the guest experience at the heart of everything you do
• Maintain a consistent standard of high quality and well presented dishes that align with the ALH standard

What do we need from you

Inherent Requirements

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
