Job summary

Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten is seeking a Centre Chef for our brand-new Newbridge centre in Wallan. This permanent part-time role starts at 25 hours per week and offers the opportunity to increase hours as occupancy grows.

You will prepare healthy meals for children, plan seasonal menus following childcare nutrition guidelines, manage ordering and budgets, cater to dietary needs, and maintain kitchen safety and documentation. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher required.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate required; Safe Food Handling Certificate preferred.
• Working with Children Check current; First Aid certification preferred.
• Knowledge of children’s nutritional needs and dietary requirements.
• Strong organisational, time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a clean, safe kitchen.

Responsibilities

  The Opportunity

  As our Centre Chef, you will:
