Job summary

Tokyo Doll, a Japanese-inspired restaurant in Byron Bay, is seeking an experienced Cook / Chef de Partie to join our kitchen on a full-time basis. You will work across the menu, assist with preparation and service, and help maintain the high standards we demand.

Between busy evenings and weekends, you’ll uphold food safety, contribute to stock control, and support seasonal menu development. A permanent full-time position with a consistent roster awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Experience in Japanese or Asian cuisine preferred.
• Sushi training and knife skills highly regarded.
• Available to work evenings and weekends.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in line with regulatory requirements.
• Assisting with stock control, rotation and ordering.

The Position

We are seeking an experienced Cook / Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work across the menu, supporting both preparation and service, and will contribute to maintaining the high standards expected of the restaurant.
