Job summary

Sheraton is seeking a Chef De Partie to join our Sydney kitchen team. You will assist the Head Chef, supervise line cooks, and ensure high-quality preparation of hot and cold foods for our food and beverage outlets.

Join a renowned Marriott International property and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment at 161 Elizabeth Street, Sydney.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or completion of commercial cookery required.
• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preparation and production of all hot and cold foods for the outlet.
• Assist Head Chef to ensure quality, consistency and production.
• Supervise cooks and workers in food preparation.
• Plan food quantities and plating for service periods.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish with attention to detail.
• Maintain clean, efficient sections and uphold food safety standards.
• Deliver guest-focused service and exceed guest expectations during service.

  • Be the connecter and facilitator of collective power and supervise the preparation and production of all hot or cold food items for the food and beverage outlet
  • Assist the Head Chef in ensuring the quality, consistency and production of food in all areas of responsibility
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
  • Plan and manage food quantities and plating requirements for the food operation
