Job summary

K’gari Beach Resort in K’gari (Fraser Island) is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to lead kitchen sections, craft high-quality dishes and uphold brand standards across outlets. The role is full-time, on-site, with responsibilities spanning menu planning support, food prep, quality control and team supervision.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Chef in hospitality.
• Food Safety Course essential; Responsible Service of Alcohol desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals per recipes and standards.
• Assist Head Chef with menu planning, seasonal development and costing.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace safety in line with policies and laws.
• Manage stock levels, ordering, inventory control and waste minimisation.
• Lead, train and supervise junior staff to support team performance.
• Coordinate food prep and service for smooth operation in high-volume settings.
