Job summary

Accor Canberra is seeking a passionate Chef de Partie to support the Executive and Sous Chefs in a full-time role, delivering exceptional dining experiences with high standards of food quality and safety. You will own your section, mentor juniors, and contribute to smooth service operations.

You will manage stock, mise en place, and collaborate with events teams to ensure seamless guest experiences, while maintaining peak kitchen hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified in Commercial Cookery with relevant hotel or catering experience.
• Experience as Chef de Partie or Demi Chef in hotel, restaurant or catering.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP and kitchen hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality dishes according to recipes and brand standards.
• Supervise designated kitchen section to ensure service efficiency and consistency.
• Mentor junior kitchen team members and assist with rostered shifts.
• Assist with stock control, mise en place and ordering.
• Maintain cleanliness and manage kitchen equipment and workstations.
